A Bokeh Dream
Since I began experimenting with silhouettes and creating artistic images, I’ve always enjoyed trying something different. About three months ago, a friend told me about the swirly bokeh effect he got from a Helios. After seeing the results, I was intrigued and thought about getting one for myself. Around the same time, I came across an Instagram post about a donut bokeh lens. The sample images they shared were stunning, and I had a few ideas for incorporating it into bird and wildlife photography. Since it was a 250mm lens, it seemed perfect for capturing birds and mammals.

When the lens was released in India, I pre-ordered it on the first day and received it within two days. I took it out for a birding trial as soon as I got it, and I was blown away by the bokeh it produced.
